From the
title there would seem to have been a joint venture between the two
companies at this point in time.
General Description The standard instrument is
designed for alternative a.c. mains or battery operation.
It covers a radio frequency range of 85 kc/s to 25
Mc/s and gives a continuously variable output of one microvolt to one volt.
This is controlled by a calibrated attenuator and may as required be modulated either externally,
or by the internal 400 c/s oscillator.
The r.f. current entering the attenuator is monitored by a thermocouple meter determining
level and modulation depth fundamentally.
Output impedance is 10 ohm
normal or 52.5 ohm high level.

One : Type MU12/14 Rectifier
One: 6.5V 0.3A MES Lamp
One Mains Lead Type TM 2560Q with 8 pole socket
One Battery Lead Type TM 2253/1 with switch and 8-pole socket
One A-W Dummy Aerial Type TM 1758 with screening lead and socket
one Spare Concentric Screened Socket Type TM 1726.
One Spare Thermocouple Type TM 3307 mounted on attenuator cover plate
One Instruction Book No. EB 114G (Series)
Note : -
The parts supplied with a TF144G/6 differ slightly from those listed above.
The Dummy Aerial is a Type TM 1758A also Mains Lead Type TM 2560Q is not supplied; instead a -special 8-way free
socket - type TM 3595A, and a 3-way free socket, Bulgin Type P 73, are provided.
The 8-way socket is for attachment to the front panel input plug when the Battery Lead is not in
use.
The 3-way socket is for connection to the mains inlet a which on the TF
144G/6 is at the rear of the instrument.
