I have powered up the unit the receiver sounded lively.

The Transmitter gave 9.5 watts into a power meter.
 
Sorry I do not have the microphone, but I have connected a temporary one and it modulates OK.

Any moving coil mike should work OK.

The Speaker is built in.

The unit is all solid state transistorised.

In good clean condition inside and out.

Data added in response to a question I powered the radio up again.

The top row of buttons are access tones, the second row are Transmit frequencies.

The first 3 buttons give a frequency which is changed by the last button.

Transmit to a frequency counter : -

B1 145.5 & 145.0243
B2 145.1242 & 145.0945
B3 145.1746 & 145.1498

Received on the Heathkit from a hand portable, as close as I could tell with the two being close : -

B1 145.5 & 145.62
B2 145.72 & 145.70
B3 145.76 or 77 & 145.7375

I would have looked at the xtals but one of the case screws did not want to come out.

The nut inside is turning, it could be held with long nose pliers, but I am short of time at the moment.

Frequencies are probably close to the actual frequency : )

It is years since I went on air and we live in a VHF dead valley Mullion Cove Cornwall.

I have never used the radio but it looks in nice condition.

I collect and renovate Military and Domestic Radio Equipment, I am reducing my collection : )
